Lillian R. Haines (nee Guyer), 95, of Southampton, went home to meet the Lord on Monday, April 15, 2024 at Virtua Memorial Samaritan Hospice in Mount Holly. Lillian was born in Trenton, NJ, grew up in Edinburg, NJ and spent most of her life in Southampton, NJ. She was a seamstress at Rockhill for 25 years followed by jobs at Sears and then Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Pemberton United Methodist Church for 75 years, and taught Sunday school there for 40 years.
Lillian loved to fish, garden, sew, read her bible, and she was famous for baking delicious brownies for her family and friends. Whenever you asked her how she was doing she always had the same answer - “I’m blessed!”.
She was predeceased by her husband, William Haines in 2001, her sons, William Haines, and Samuel Haines; and her sister, Rose Billings. She is survived by four children, Linda Lovenduski, Robert Haines, Deborah Lovenduski, and Timothy Haines; 26 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and many friends.
Relatives and friends may call from 10 to 11AM Tuesday, April 23rd at the Pemberton United Methodist Church, 45 Hanover Street, Pemberton followed by a memorial service at 11 AM. Interment will be on Wednesday April 24th at 10AM at William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
